When and how to finish a piece of work in Botanical Art

  

Finishing a piece of work is a wonderful learning experience: it makes us persevere beyond the stage when we think that our work is not good (most pieces of work go through that stage). 

In this workshop we shall try to complete one piece of work during the day; you can either start it at the workshop or bring something you are working on. I shall describe to the group an appraisal process that helps us finish a piece of work; it includes checking for botanical accuracy and adjusting the composition, tone and colour. We shall also discuss this process individually, to bring your work as close as possible to completion. You will get a handout summarising the information.
